Batch 54

Batch54_Label_Post

Clone recipe from Gustav Lindh which didn’t turn out like I’d hoped.

I wanted to try another modern take for a lager and Gustav Lindh is a great brewer who often shares his recipes which is really kind. This recipe caught my eyes and I was looking forward to try it out but I’ve to say I’m disappointed with the result. Now, it might’ve been me messing something up in the process, but I do think that the selection of hops is as fault here, which is a matter of personal preference as well.

As I described in batch 53, that and this batch is written totally from memory long after they were made as I didn’t make notes while doing or tasting them. What I do remember is that I was disappointed but the beer was OK, I just had bigger hopes for it being super good.

I won’t give up, I want to find a good modern take on a lager which is not too damn fluffy, fruity and juicy but just a really good hint of floral and fruitness. Fortunately for me, that creates opportunities to brew even more!
