Batch 57

Christmas porter is back! I’ve done this recipe before (Batch 33) and my memory was telling me that this beer was a lot better than it turned out this time, so I’m thinking I messed up somehow.

It’s a shame because reading my old notes I can tell I liked it very much. I did however complain about the body of that beer and I’ve to admit, I feel the same way this time. I’d like the body to be heavier/thicker, but I guess the lighter body is better for the dinner table and as this beers main purpose being company to Christmas food, I might be wrong thinking it should be heavier.

The beer was in no way bad, but I was really looking forward to this batch and as it didn’t live up to my expectations I definitely feel disappointed. I’ll just have to fix this until next Christmas – lucky me its Christmas every year!
