Simple American Pale Ale recipe with nothing but Pekko hops to get a feeling for what these hops taste and feel like. Nothing to worry about, all I had left was put into the kettle.
Unfortunately, this and the next batch 54 is totally based on memory as I didn’t make notes while brewing or tasting these two batches, I also have no pictures of the beer tapped up.
So, what I do remember is that this beer didn’t make a great impression. It was OK, nice feeling to it and the Pekko hops definitely works great in an American Pale Ale with it’s floral taste and aroma.
As you might realize I won’t be doing this exact recipe again, I’ll however use the Pekko hops again if I get the chance. I think there’s some nice combos that can be with it, and used in other styles than just American Pale Ales.
